The fear of heartbreak

by Mamoon Yusaf

One of the biggest fears that people have when contemplating whether to meet and marry someone, is the fear of heartbreak.

The fact that no matter how well you get to know someone, you can never really know their true colours, which opens the door to potential heartbreak in the future.

Some people are married for years before they truly get to know their other half.

So when it comes to Muslims who don’t date for long, and don’t have the same type of long-term relationships that our non-Muslim friends might have; how do we get to the point where we know enough about a person to feel safe that they’re not going to break out hearts and cause us pain further down the line?

The short answer is, we don’t ever get to that point.

However, littered along the path to getting to know someone, are signs, given to you by Allah, that help you to see whether you’re investing time in a relationship that just isn’t going to work – but is instead dragging you deeper into something that’s no good for you.

People pray for signs all the time, not realising that Allah is already surrounding us with them.

It’s just that sometimes we’re so caught up in our own desires, fears, worries and doubts, that we blind ourselves to them.

Allah has blessed us with the gift of intuition.

We have access to our source of inner wisdom and it’s there to guide us through these exact types of situations. But sometimes we confuse this intuition with being paranoid, jealous, overly suspicious, idealistic, or too much of a worrier. And this blocks us from fully trusting in that divine wisdom that’s quietly whispering to us beneath all this inner-noise.

So how do we become more in tune with our own inner wisdom, and more able to distinguish between intuition and the made-up thoughts that only serve to make our lives more complicated, stressful and problematic?

The key lies in a simple but powerful understanding about how your mind really works.

This deep and spiritual realisation shifts your whole perspective on life, re-setting you to your natural state of confidence and clarity – making listening to your inner wisdom as effortless as listening to the news in the morning.

To experience this shift for yourself, join me at my upcoming ‘Meet & Marry The One’ event, where you’ll discover how to develop the mindset, qualities and skills that make finding the love of your life, completely inevitable, insha’Allah.

And if you join today, you’ll get a huge discount. So, if your intuition is telling you to join us, trust it and book now:
