A lot of people can feel insecure and a teeny weeny bit anxious before a date.
It’s the first time you’re going to meet someone in person that you’ve been chatting to for a while, and it’s finally time to see if you connect well in person.

Yep…that’s exactly what happened to me during a date once…
I was all excited about meeting up with a girl, getting ready, making my hair look nice…
Dinner went well and then we headed for to a cafe afterwards – and that’s where it all went downhill…
I took a big gulp of tea and then immediately choked on it.
The tea literally sprayed everywhere as I simultaneously choked and spat out my drink. I was practically vomiting everywhere whilst desperately trying to grab some napkins and clean it all up.
And then, I tried to act all cool about it, as if nothing had just happened, and in a Fonze-From-Happy-Days like manner, continued with the conversation we’d been having… with a raspy throat and the occasion cough.
I must have looked really stupid.
And it will come as no surprise to you that she never called again.
Alhamdullilah. The Lord works in wonderful ways…. (especially when you pray the decision-making “istikhara” prayer)
