Despite all the fake bad news about immigrants being the problem in the UK and the USA, the fact is that in reality, we boost the economy and keep it thriving.
That’s why I chuckled when I was recently reminded of something I heard in an audio program I listened to about 20 years ago by Brian Tracy.
He came out with a lot of zingers, but one of the gems that stayed with me was this. (For context, he was talking about the importance of being an entrepreneur and what it takes to be successful in business).
He said:
“You want to know why immigrants are so successful?
It’s because they don’t know the language, so they can’t read…
…all of that negative stuff they write in the papers.”
Here’s another one I once heard along the same lines.
“Allah made it so that babies learn to walk before they learn to talk…
…So that they can’t hear all of that negative talk from uncles and aunties giving their opinions and judgments about their level of progress.”
And finally, there’s a famous old-school personal development speaker and hilarious Christian preacher called Zig Ziglar, who once said:
“Every morning I wake up and I read the daily newspaper and the Bible…
…because I want to know what both sides are up to.”
The point of all this is simple.
If you’ve got big goals and important things you want to do in life, then instead of wasting your time listening to random negative family members, or people chatting on social media about all kinds of negative stuff, or comparing yourself with others, or listening to the negative-news-cycle… why not block it all out and get to work on your real goals.
And while you’re at it, why not use all that freed up time to achieve all your Quran goals?
The best way I know of to do that is to use a handy little program called “Quran for Busy People”.
You can watch an introductory training that shows how you can start achieving your Quran goals in just 11 minutes a day.
