Ever since I announced to the world that I was going to offer the service of “Quran Coaching”, back in 2009 people immediately had expectations and assumptions that I couldn’t possibly meet.
And even to this day, as I’m becoming more widely known as a Spiritual Coach, people assume sometimes that me and my team of coaches teach religion in some form.
Now I’m a big fan of the Quran and of Islam as a religion and spiritual path… but my coaching service isn’t designed to replace your local mosque.
To clarify, here’s a quick list of everything you definitely won’t learn from a Certified Switch Coach I’ve personally trained, when you have a session with them:
- Tajweed – How to accurately and beautifully recite the Quran. Essential skill. We don’t teach it.
- Classical Arabic – perfect if you want to learn the beautiful ancient language of the Quran. Rest assured 30 minutes with a coach on my team will not involve any Arabic teaching.
- Tafseer or Quranic Exegesis – During a session with a coach on my team, you may have life changing insights that transform your mindset and improve your life in all kinds of different ways… But no one on my team will be teaching you Quran interpretation
- Hadith narration – Most of my team of coaches happen to be Muslim and love Prophetic teachings. But I guarantee you they will not be teaching you how to memorise and learn Sahih Bukhari…
- Aqeedah – The Islamic belief system. If you happen to be a believing, practising Muslim you may believe a lot of the same things as the coaches on my team. But they won’t be teaching you the beautiful logic and wisdom of the Islamic belief system.
- Fiqh – The laws of Islam – neither myself nor the coaches on my team have ever felt the need to teach anyone about the laws of Islam. If you want to learn about them, there are places where you can go, like your local mosque, but we won’t be sharing them with you.
- What you should and should not do with your life – No matter how religious you are, or what religion you follow, the coaches on my team won’t tell you what you should and should not be doing with your life. Instead, the coaches on my team trust that you have the intellect, knowledge and wisdom to figure that out for yourself.
So what does a Certified Switch Coach do?
They are highly trained and qualified in understanding The Psychological Switch and creating a space within which you are very likely to have your own life changing insights. They create this space by asking the right questions, listening deeply and “sparring” with you on achieving your life’s biggest goals and overcoming your challenges.
It is highly likely that you’ll realise something during the session that has the power to change your life forever.
