The running joke now that I live in Marrakech and I’m loving it… is that I’m the most Moroccan member of my wife’s family.
I even buzz off the national anthem of Morocco. Especially the chorus, which goes like this:
Allah.
Al-Watan.
Al-Malik!
Which translates to, “God. Country. King.”
In Arabic, as a chorus it has a ring to it. And it summarises the fundamentals of what it means to be a good, patriotic Moroccan.
And it kind of got me thinking about you, what I do for you and the impact it can have.
What would our anthem be? Maybe something like:
Allah.
Al-Switch.
Al-Marriage.
Because, no matter which way you cut it, the life-changing impact of all the TV shows, the book, the thousands of articles, the podcasts, the events and most importantly the coaching programs we run, always comes down to 3 things:
ONE: Allah – Deepening your connection with Allah
Any approach to coaching, psychology, relationships or personal growth that doesn’t bring you closer to Allah is a total waste of time & energy as far as I’m concerned. In the end, it’ll back fire. And chances are, it was something weird and manipulative to begin with.
On the flip side, deepen your connection with Allah, and wonderful things happen in all other areas of your life by default.
TWO: Al-Switch – Understanding the Psychological Switch
This is the ‘secret sauce’ at the centre of all my teachings, coaching programs and writings that makes the transformation happen. It’s like the ‘cheat code’ for dramatically improving emotional intelligence, becoming your highest self and enjoying your life a whole lot more.
THREE: Al-Marriage – Upgrading your Marriage
Because this is usually the first thing that ‘pops’. Either a very ordinary marriage becomes extraordinary. Or a marriage on the rocks finds what it needed all along to survive and eventually thrive. Or a single person overcomes whatever was blocking them from finding the love of their life. Either way, chances are your loved ones will notice the difference in you, before you do.
There you have it.
