Still time to get ripped in Ramadan

by Mamoon Yusaf

We all know that the essence of Ramadan is the spiritual transformation that comes through working and fasting during the day and worship and devotion during the night.

I remember talking with the Sudanese scholar, Sheikh Babikir, who said that he doesn’t understand why some brothers are so obsessed with building up their muscles and their bodies.

In his words: “They’re just spending their time making a lot of tasty worm-food! Focus on building your spirit, not just your body.”

That being said, most of us aren’t in that position. We’re at the other extreme, where we’ve let our bodies get so far out of shape and given into our desires for food and drink to the point that we’ve been destroying our bodies.

Ramadan, when done the right way fixes both. It transforms our bodies by making us thinner, leaner and lighter. And it transforms our souls by giving us the spiritual training and discipline we need to fully surrender to, and connect with, Allah, the Ever-Living Source of Life.

We’re about half way through Ramadan and I’m certainly in better shape that I was when the month started. My body fat percentage is lower and I’m on a one-way trip to getting ripped, even though I’m not doing anything much different during the fasting day.

The only difference is in what I choose to eat at night.

The few people who have been inspired by these emails to join The Ramadan Challenge are already starting to get some great results. Some have already lost 5-10kg since the start of the month, and we’re only at the half-way point!

The most common thing I’m hearing is:

“I thought it would be really hard… but it’s SOOO easy!!”

Most of the hard work is already done by fasting. It’s just a small tweak of evening eating habits (NOTE: we change our eating habits during Ramadan anyway, but usually for the worse!). By upgrading the way we eat, if only for this month, it has a dramatic effect on our bodies and a wonderfully positive effect on our experience of Ramadan.

As I explain in ‘The Ramadan Challenge’ video training, you’ll get excellent rapid fat loss benefits just by doing the challenge for 10 days to 2 weeks. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to ‘tweak’ the Muslim fast to optimize your fat-loss goals. That’s a skill you can use for the rest of your life.

However, you don’t have the rest of your life to join “The Ramadan Challenge”. The deadline to get the training is tomorrow.

After that, the training will not be available (and there really won’t be enough time left in Ramadan to make any significant changes to your body).
