A question once came up a couple of years ago when I was being interviewed, alongside a Rabbi to talk about The Spiritual Switch.
The interviewer asked:
“Which do you think is more important: psychology or spirituality?”
The Rabbi answered that he believed spirituality is more important because it kind of ‘sits on top of’ psychology.
My response?
The question is wrong.
They’re both, in reality, exactly the same thing.
Psychology is the logic of the psyche (which is the soul).
Psychology is literally “soul – logic”
It only makes sense that a true understanding of psychology would necessarily, automatically improve your spiritual connection with Allah. If it doesn’t, like a lot of modern psychological theories don’t, then something must be missing.
The beautiful thing about The Spiritual Switch (aka. The Psychological Switch) is that it opens the doors to tremendous spiritual growth, and mental wellbeing, because it provides a clear, neutral, logic to how our minds and our inner-lives actually work in reality.
The moment you flip the switch, you become increasingly psychologically and spiritually healthy – you almost can’t not.
You end up feeling more connected with Allah, showing up as your best self, and giving your best in all your relationships.
If you want some of that kind of “soul-logic” in your life – the kind that improves your relationship with Allah, with yourself and with your loved ones – then sign up to The Spiritual Switch coaching program here:
