The other day, Rachida and I were having a chat about our goals for 2025.
We were talking about our intentions, the kind of energy and experiences we want to share together.
By the grace of God, we’re in a wonderful phase of life where we’re living in Marrakesh… and it turns out this is our dream. It feels like we’re on vacation the whole time, even though we’re both still working and fully engaging with all the good things in life.
Anyway, as we were talking, Owais, our four year old comes over to us and says:
Owais: “What are you talking about, Mama?”
Rachida: “We’re talking about the kind of energy we want in our lives in the future.”
Owais: “The kind of energy I want in my life is zombie energy, because zombies are my favorite.”
Rachida: laughs out loud. “And how are you going to get that energy Owais?”
Owais: “I’m going to ask Allah for it.”
Rumi, his twin, chimes in: “I want balloon energy so I can fly and touch the moon”.
This got me thinking about a couple of things.
Firstly, four year olds, masha Allah, super cute age.
Secondly, isn’t it funny how I have to do all of these long, drawn out exercises with adults to get them to dream and think big and decide on what they want in their lives, but a child just instantly knows there’s no wrong answers.
When a four year old is brainstorming, there’s also a light, fun energy to it, and that’s exactly how it should be if you’re planning out what you want to do with the rest of 2025.
Don’t let the fact that we’re near the end of January stop you.
There are 11 months left to this beautiful new year, and more importantly, there are 24 hours to every beautiful new day.
If you want to make the most of each day, week and month of your life, especially over the next year, then I recommend getting a 1-to-1 coaching session with me, while they’re still available for free:
