These are the words of one of my coaching clients, Ptissem, before she came to The Paradigm Shift. (Okay, to be honest, her language was a bit more graphic!)
Before coming to the event, she’d experienced certain challenges in her life that had left her jaded, resentful, depressed and lost.
She no longer knew what was best for her, or for her children.
In the years leading up to the event she’d experienced an emotionally and physically abusive marriage.
She’d left her marital home and fled to a women’s refuge, five months pregnant and with a 3-year-old in tow.
Her whole life was turned upside down and she stayed stuck in limbo for a further 18 months, not knowing whether to give her abusive husband one last chance.
Then she caught him cheating online.
And then her father died of cancer, yarhamuhu Allah.
So, it’s understandable that she’d almost hit rock bottom.
But, she knew she needed help. She knew that in order to give herself and her children the best possible fresh start in life, she needed to “sort her head out”.
She was overwhelmed with all the negative thoughts and feelings that consumed her on a daily basis. Thoughts telling her she was a failure, that she’d chosen the wrong husband and so it was her fault that things had turned out how they did. That her life was now rubbish because of the situation she found herself in – living on benefits as a single mum in social housing.
She would reflect on how life was before her abusive marriage, where she was carefree, successful and independent. And wonder where that person was… did she even exist anymore?
And the connection with Allah which she had always felt so strongly, had all but disappeared.
But, it hadn’t disappeared completely…
She felt deep down that Allah was guiding her to something. Through all the pain and suffering, she listened to the wisdom and insight that was coming to her from Allah, as it does to everyone, guiding her to what would benefit her.
And it turns out…. that was The Paradigm Shift.
It was no mean feat for her to attend either.
She faced challenges with childcare and logistics, but she made it happen. Because she listened to that feeling that was coming from deep within. Call it intuition or Allah’s divine guidance. She listened to it.
She came to the event and over the coming year her life changed in so many ways that I couldn’t even start to list them here. But I do want to highlight one very important detail.
Nothing changed in her physical environment. She still lived the same life, with the same challenges. Nothing magically changed in her external environment for her to suddenly be ok.
She changed on the inside.
She learned how her mind worked in a way that left her feeling connected with Allah again. She was able to see past her negative thoughts and feelings and start living life from a deeper, more spiritual place. This understanding transformed all areas of her life, so much so, that she no longer even recognises the person who used to say that her life was sh*t. For her, life is so much more beautiful and she now spends her time helping others to experience the same transformation.
The Paradigm Shift really can change your life for the better.
But you need to attend the event for this to happen.
However challenging it may appear for you to attend, know that you too can figure it out. That’s something I can’t do for you.
But one thing I can promise you, is that just like my client, you’ll be forever grateful that you did figure out the logistics and attend. Because once you experience life-changing transformation such as this, you can’t ever go back.
