The Only Home Workout Equipment I Use

This might seem random, but it occurred to me recently that there is one piece of home workout equipment that I have used for well over a decade and I never plan on not using.

It’s extremely cheap (compared with a gym membership), doesn’t take up space and it gives me the freedom to be able to work out at home without compromising on the effectiveness of the workout. 

It even worked for me while I was at university, when I was basically living in a shoebox in London. (Come to think of it, I must have been using it for almost 2 decades). 

It’s small.
It’s portable.
I can take it on holiday with me.

And the net result is that, over time, I never miss a workout, because it takes me a whopping 20 minutes from beginning to end, including travel and set up time, using this magical piece of home workout equipment.

It’s not a chin-up bar (although that’s also very useful). 

I use this equipment to do high-intensity resistance training, which is basically a muscle-building workout that turns out to be one of the most sound, scientifically effective ways to build muscle over time.

So what is this magical piece of equipment?

It’s called “Bodylastics”, and it’s basically cable-like resistance bands that you can stack to increase resistance, attach to handles, and attach to a door-anchor that works with any kind of door, to reproduce virtually every single exercise it’s possible to do in your average gym.

There are a lot of knock-off brands on Amazon that are available right now, and unfortunately there’s been some kind of supply chain problem due to Trump’s tariffs, so it might be hard to get hold of the real original (and best) ones.
