The other day someone asked me:
Why do you keep changing the name of that coaching thing you do?
In the first version of my bestselling book, “Inside the Soul of Islam”, I called it ‘The Inside-Out Paradigm’. (The new edition planned for 2023 will have updated terminology)
In my TV show on British Muslim TV it was “Taqwa Transformation”
For many of my live events, it was “The Paradigm Shift”
One of my mentors calls it “The Three Principles Paradigm”
And a couple of my colleagues call it “The principles behind Instant Motivation and Clarity”.
I’ve finally settled on calling it “The Psychological Switch”, but my current coaching program which is focused more explicitly on what it does for us spiritually, is called, “The Spiritual Switch”
So what gives?!
The answer is simple, but profound. In the words of the great Imam Junaid who was referring to the Prophetic spiritual path:
“We live in a time of realities that have no labels.
But there will come a time of labels that have no reality”.
The Spiritual Reality that my colleagues and I have come across is so deep and profound, yet so simple, that our words simply fail to capture it.
At best, we’ve attempted to describe the profound affect it’s had on us.
