Ramadan is by far the EASIEST time of the year to lose all unwanted body fat. This has been true historically for anyone following the Sunnah… and it’s been proven scientifically since people started doing extensive research into the benefits of ‘Intermittent Fasting’.
When I was at school, I used to be under the completely incorrect impression that fasting is something that does your body very little good… and inconveniently stops you from playing sports and training (which can’t be good?!).
Little did I know, that when you do it right… you can get completely ripped and lean over just 30 days with ZERO extra effort, as compared with people whose bodies stay the same (or even get fatter!)
Let’s face it – when people put on weight during Ramadan… it must mean there’s something very wrong about the way they’re approaching it. And there is! They’re changing the timings of their meals… but completely indulging the nafs (ego) in all the culinary pleasures it can dream of as soon as it gets dark.
It could be argued that they still keep some of the spiritual benefit of fasting… but by over-indulging they definitely lose all of its physical benefits.
This Ramadan, I predict I’ll drop at least 2 squidgy inches off my waist and make up for not eating in the healthiest way over the last few months. I also predict I will lose virtually zero muscle… and may even put a little on. The best part is, my Ramadan will actually be EASIER than everyone else’s, even those who over-indulge at night.
How is all this possible?
Simple.
It’s to do with what you eat and how you eat at the time of breaking the fast. My way of eating after a fast makes me thinner, healthier, and makes the next day’s fasting even easier.
Curious?
I’ll share all the details on Friday’s Conscious Ramadan workshop:
