The purpose of life to me, and most believers, is not a wishy-washy thing. It’s actually pretty clearly stated in the Quran:
“I did not create Jinn or Man, except to worship Me”
“The One who created death, and life, to see which of you is best in action”
And, we know that ‘worship’ here means ’to know’ and ’to love’ and ‘to be devoted’ to Allah, the Most High.
What does this have to do with you achieving your goals?
Everything.
Your motivation to achieve your goals isn’t going to work if it depends on something as flimsy and temporary as “feelings” and “motivation”… which is where most people’s goal-achieving efforts fall down. The moment they don’t ‘feel like it’, or don’t ‘feel motivated’, they stop taking action
Instead, it can come from something much greater, more grounded, more meaningful… The Ever-Lasting.
The moment your goal is linked to your life’s true purpose – connecting with and ‘knowing’ Allah (swt) — suddenly everything falls into place.
You have a reason to jump out of bed in the morning and focus on your goal, and something that can fill up all the seemingly empty hours of the day, without ever suffering from ‘lack of motivation’ or distraction.
When I’m done with you, you’ll never be dependent on ‘motivation’ again. You’ll just be a purpose-driven action-taker. Insha’Allah.
