The Ramadan Shift


Assalam Alaikum,

Ramadan Mubarak! Hope you’re having a blessed, uplifting, spiritually enlightening day of fasting.

If you want this Ramadan to be a time of real, lasting transformation, it’s time for a Shift.

This month isn’t about going hungry and thirsty for 18 hours a day just for the sake of it. In fact, the Prophet, peace & blessings upon him said:

“Many people who fast get nothing from their fast except hunger and thirst, and many people who pray at night get nothing from it except sleeplessness”

Here’s what Ramadan is really about:

It’s about shocking yourself into a state of spiritual awareness.

It’s about awakening your soul & reminding yourself of the purpose of your existence.

It’s about every pang of hunger & feeling of thirst being a wake up call to the One True Source of your experience.

It’s about increasing your ‘taqwa’ – your conscious self-control.

It’s about knowing that you can do this fast, so that when it comes down to it, you know that with Allah’s help, you can do anything.

Ramadan is about making a permanent Shift.
